Marketing Consultant Needed
We are looking for a marketing consultant to help our group retain and get new members.
JD:
The IEEE Boston Consultants Network seeks a college person or consultant to assist in digital marketing for the organization.
Initially, the marketing person shall complete a marketing plan using a supplied Word document template that contains the goals of the marketing plan. The IEEE Boston Consultants Network is a membership organization; we sell annual subscriptions to members.
Requirements:
Marketing and sales experience
Excellent writing skills and ability/prior experience writing a marketing plan.
LinkedIn knowledge is required.
Social media knowledge for managing an organization on Facebook, X, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn and possibly other social media is required.
Knowledge and/or experience on how to market a technology organization to engineers, and technology consultants using social media is required. All of our members are currently IEEE members.

Length of contract: ~60 hours, 8 hours in the first week to draft the marketing plan, ~ 2-4 hours per week after
Starts May 2026
Rate: $20 per hour
The marketing person role is a part-time consulting opportunity, not an employee of the organization. The position reports to the board of directors.
